Tara O Design, LLC is solely owned and operated by me, Tara Smythe Olivier, a Louisiana Registered Interior Designer (#1252). I’ve been working in the industry for over 20 years, beginning with earning my Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Louisiana (Geaux Cajuns!).

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with houses - every style, era, and condition. I can walk into any space and instantly start imagining the potential. Since I can’t renovate a million homes for myself, I became a designer so I could help others bring their dream homes to life.

My passion is transforming dated, dysfunctional, or underwhelming spaces into ones that feel beautiful, intentional, and completely personal. Whether it’s a too-small kitchen that needs to work smarter, a bathroom that needs to feel like a personal retreat, or a whole-home update, I’m here to help you plan with clarity and move forward with confidence.

I take the stress and second-guessing out of the process through smart planning and expert guidance. My goal is always to make renovations feel exciting instead of overwhelming - and to create a home that truly supports the way you live.

When I’m not designing for clients (or for myself - my own home will always be my favorite project!), I’m usually spending time with my husband and two kiddos.
